There is a Tornado Watch in effect for the area until 6pm this evening. Severe Thunderstorms are possible with heavy rains, damaging winds, large hail and isolated tornados possible this afternoon into early evening.

Voters are headed to the polls today in Arkansas and Texas. In Arkansas, voters will decide whether to extend a bond issue they first passed back in 1999. Funds are used to pay for repair and rehabilitation to roadways and interstates in the Natural State.

 In Texas voters are considering 10 constitutional amendments. Polls close in Texas at 7pm and in Arkansas at 7:30 pm.

A traffic accident involving a school bus and a suv yesterday afternoon left two people with non life threatening injuries. Texas side police say the accident occurred at the intersection of West 37th street and Elizabeth when the driver of the suv failed to yield the right of way and was struck by the bus. No one on the school bus was injured.

In Sports;

The Liberty-Eylau Leopards will be hosting a hot dog supper and community football playoff pep rally this evening at the high school. The hot dog supper is $3 dollars and includes chips and a drink and will be from 5:30 to 6:30 at the Media Center. The pep rally follows starting at 6:30 at the Rader Dome. Playoff tickets will be on sale and there will be a concession stand. L-E faces Carthage in Longview on Thursday Night.
