J.W.’s News Update: Friday November 18, 2011

A tragic plane crash in Arkansas. Four people were killed in the crash west of Little Rock. Including in that the head women's baskeball coach at Oklahoma State University and assistant coach Miranda Serna. The investigation into the crash is underway.

The Triple A says more people will be traveling at least 50 miles or more over the Thanksgiving Holiday. That's a four percent increase over last year despite higher plane fares and higher gasoline prices.

The Arkansas Game and Fish Commission has shortened the Turkey Hunting Season next spring from 18 to 16 days. The hunt will be from April 14th thru April 19th. The Youth Hunt will be April 7th & 8th.

The Arkansas High Razorbacks are on the road to Jonesboro in the 2nd round of the Class 6A State Football Playoffs. You can hear the game on Eagle 106.3 with the pre-game at 7pm and the kickoff at 7:30.
