The picture above is of Katherine Switzer. I was not familiar with who she was until recently, but she was the first woman to run in the Boston Marathon as a numbered entry.

She just wanted to run, but she paved the way for female athletes in every sport. (To read more about her, click here.)

Our culture has changed a lot over the years, but there are still quite a few things women are not treated fairly about.

Now I am not extremely vocal about women's rights, but I did find the points in this article very interesting. There are a lot of women out there that are working very hard to pave the way for women, and I find that very inspiring.

It is just cool to think about where our culture is going and the opportunities women will have in the future.
