I was in downtown Texarkana earlier and got a special treat at the Pocket Park, along with a few folks having their lunch, together we enjoyed the sounds of Celtic Fiddle.
Today I found out we are celebrating a unique holiday, National 8-Track Day. Many may remember vinyl, cassette tapes and even CDs. But who has fond memories for the 8-track? I do for one.
Barbershop quartet is not nearly as much of a lost art form as you may think it is. There are many groups and organizations all over the country and the world for that matter that work very hard and have created some of the most entertaining shows I can think of. Some great examples from YouTube are posted below and well worth your time in my humble opinion.

Everyday it’s starting to sound more and more like John Fogerty’s new album “Wrote A Song For Everyone” is leaning REAL country, with a who’s who list of some of country music’s biggest stars contributing.
A Benefit Concert is slated for Friday April 6th at the Oaklawn Opry in Texarkana, Texas. The event is too raise money for the annual “Fall Gathering of Authors” St. Jude Charity Event and Book Signing.
