Marina Brett
Marina Brett is a dedicated mother of three, and devoted wife to her husband of seventeen years.
Her career in radio, television, and film spans a period of more than two decades. She began as News Anchor and Co-Host on KKDA/K104 Radio in Dallas, Texas. From there she took on the challenge of becoming the first female to do afternoon drive on WFXE-Foxie 105 in Georgia. Upon her return to Dallas she earned her place as the first female to tackle morning drive, at KGGR Gospel Radio.
She has appeared in movies and in film, most notably portraying Olympics competitor Wilma Rudolph, who was a track star at the National Olympics in the ‘60’s when blacks were being discouraged to join the competitions, in the made for TV drama, “The Jesse Owens Story.”
Marina’s favorite scripture is (Philippians- 4) He who is in you is greater than he who is in the world. The peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will return to you once again!
This, Marina says, is what reminds her “that even when I can’t see it, I remember…..God always has my back.”
