The low cost spay, neuter and vaccination mobile clinic is coming back to Texarkana.

The mobile clinic will be set up in the parking lot of Petsmart at 117 Richmond Road Ranch in Texarkana, Texas, on Friday, June 9 from 10AM to 2PM. The mobile clinic is operated by Animal Protection League out of Sulphur Springs, Texas, and has licensed medical staff to perform spays and neuters on dogs and cats. You can also get vaccinations and other services for your pets on a walk-in basis.

The low cost spay and neuter clinic is by appointment only. You should make your appointments at least one week in advance. Dogs over 30 pounds are scheduled further out so please call soon to schedule your appointment. Dogs over 80 pounds need to visit one of the stationary clinics for spay or neuter. Call for appointments 903-753-PETS (7387).

Low cost vaccinations are also available. You can also get heartworm prevention. Vaccinations, heartworm prevention, flea prevention, microchips, nail trimming and other services are available at the clinic on a walk-in basis.

The clinic will be return to Texarkana two Fridays a month and the first Saturday of each month. To make an appointment to have your pet spayed or neutered, visit them online or call 903-753-7387. If you need heartworm prevention, you will need to provide proof that your pet has tested negative within the past year or pay a reduced fee to have your pet tested.

This clinic is not intended to compete with local vets. It is a low cost alternative for pet owners who cannot otherwise afford the services. Protecting your pets from diseases is very important as well as preventing them from reproducing. Our local shelter is full of animals from our neighborhoods that have not been fixed.

Animal Protection League is a non-profit organization that was formed in 1984 in the State of Texas as an animal rescue and adoption agency. In May of 1996, they reorganized and began operating a low cost spay/neuter and vaccination program which is located in Sulpher Springs, Texas.
