Here I Stand

A recent Chuck Swindoll broadcast stressed the importance of choosing our battles wisely.  Of knowing when to stand up for what you believe, even if that means standing alone.  In Galatians 1:10 Paul was faced with the same dilemma, to please God or people.  For him the choice was clear.  It’s a choice today’s Christians face daily and not everyone understands the importance of making that choice, or how to make it.  Chuck tries to point listeners in the right direction with these four principles:  “first, determine if the issue is worth it. Second, ponder the consequences of doing nothing. Third, imagine the long-term benefits of stepping up and being true to your convictions. And finally, if you pass through each of those questions with the proper answers, take your stand.”  It’s all part of his series “The Importance of Standing Alone”.
