Fun Places in Texarkana to Check Out With The Kids This Summer
Summer is almost here. If you’re thinking of sticking around town and having a staycation, there are a lot of fun things to do in Texarkana with the kids. Sometimes we forget what’s right in our very own back yard.
Check out some of these places with the kids this summer.
Escape Texarkana – 4020 Summerhill Road in Texarkana, Texas. in Summerhill Square. (903) 923-5596. This is a great activity that is popping up all over the country. You and a group of friends or your family try to get out of a locked room within an hour by figuring out puzzles and clues. Must be at least 12 years of age.
Holiday Springs Water Park – 5501 Crossroads Pkwy, Texarkana, Ark., (870) 772-2200. Always a great way to cool off. The park opens May 27.
G-Force Indoor Trampoline and Ninja Complex – 5001 North State Line Ave. Texarkana, Texas (903) 791-9019. Kids of all ages will get some great exercise and get all tuckered out.
Fun Country Park – 8225 N State Line Ave. Texarkana, Texas (903) 791-0001. A lot of different activities available here including go-karts, miniature golf, rock climbing, and batting cages.
Discovery Place – 215 Pine Street, Texarkana, Texas (903) 793-4831. Kids have fun learning about health, sound, motion, electricity and astronomy.
Texarkana has a couple of free places that the kids can enjoy too:
The Skate Park at 201 Oak Street in downtown Texarkana, Texas, called Skatetopia. This is for anyone who loves to skateboard or watch others participate in the sport. It’s open during the day only.
Rotary Splash Pad at Spring Lake Park – A great place for the kids to cool off.
