The Texas Department of Transportation is advising motorists of a bridge closure as work continues around the area of the Loop and Interstate 30.
The connector ramp from I-369/US 59 Northbound to I-30 Eastbound in Texarkana will be closed to traffic for four to five days beginning on Thursday, Oct. 8, as workers seal joints and decking on the bridge portion of the ramp.

Traffic will be detoured onto frontage road and then on to I-30 Eastbound. The construction schedule and ramp closure can change due to inclement weather or other unforeseen problems

Meanwhile, TxDOT says FM 991 between Highway 67 and Akin Creek is now open to traffic at east end of the highway intersection with US 67. Work is continuing in the area, so motorists will still need to use caution when passing through the construction zone.

Anyone having any questions about the road closure, detour routes or construction work can call the Texas Department of Transportation Texarkana area office at 903-838-8574 for more information.
