According to the Bowie County Sheriff's Office, 50-year-old Karen May Paroline is wanted for a felony charge. On March 23, Sherman Prewitt filed a report with Investigator Will Buttram saying that two days earlier, Paroline asked him for some gas money. Prewitt, who is a 33-year-old disabled man, agreed to buy her $5 worth of gasoline. They drove to a Love’s truck stop where Paroline used Prewitt’s debit card spending over $60.

When Prewitt found out about this, he confronted Paroline who said they could go to the Walmart in New Boston and she would put the money back in his account. Instead of putting money back on Prewitt’s card, however, she allegedly made more purchases totaling more than $300.

When Paroline came out of the store, she told Prewitt they were unable to add the money back to his card at this location, so they would need to go to the Texarkana Walmart to do so. In Texarkana, Paroline spent another $150 on Prewitt’s card. When she came out of this store, she gave Prewitt his card back and forced him out of her vehicle leaving him stranded in Texarkana.

Investigator Buttram retrieved video footage of the transactions involving Prewitt’s card. Videos show a white female later identified as Paroline using Prewitt’s card to make these purchases. An arrest warrant for 'Exploitation of Disabled Individual' has been issued for Paroline, but her location is unknown at this time.

Paroline is 50, 5’4” and weighs 140 pounds. She has blue eyes and was last known to have red hair. Anyone who comes in contact with her should call 911, and anyone with information on Paroline’s whereabouts should call the Bowie County Sheriff’s Office at 903-798-3149.
