The Texarkana, Ark., Police Department is investigating two armed robberies believed to have been committed by two different suspects.

The first armed robbery occurred yesterday evening, on Dec. 17, 2015 at approximately 7PM, in the 4500 Block of North State Line Avenue, the E-Z Mart convenience store. During this incident, a black male wearing a red hoodie and dark colored jeans allegedly approached the counter displaying a handgun and demanded money from the register.  The unknown suspect reportedly received an undisclosed amount of cash and fled the business on foot.

The second armed robbery occurred early this morning, Dec. 18, 2015 at 1AM in the 2400 Block of North State Line Avenue, the Speed X convenience store.  During this incident, a black male, approximately 5’6" and weighing 150 pounds, wearing all black clothing with half of his face covered, entered the store and approached the counter displaying a handgun. The suspect allegedly ordered the employee to face away from him as he removed cash from the register. After stealing an undisclosed amount of cash the suspect reportedly fled the business on foot.

No injuries were reported from either incident. At this time, police believe that two different suspects committed these crimes.
