The Texarkana Arts and Humanities Council presents "Everyday Photography" with Alex Chavez.

Alex Chavez was born in Mexico and brought to the United States at the age of three. Working as a graphic designer, illustrator, and photographer, he is currently enrolled at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock pursuing a degree in Studio Fine Art with an emphasis in illustration.

Alex says he believes that the creative have the ability to change the way we see the world. As a photographer, one literally shows the viewer how they view the world. Through his photos, he showcases the beauty of every day life and the amazing beauty in nature. Alex has been greatly influenced by William Eggleston and Fred Herzog, both tremendously talented color photographers.

Alex says his passion and dream is to become a globally-known photographer and illustrator and to change the world in a positive way.

"I sincerely believe that we were all created with amazing talents and qualities and it is our responsibility to share them with the world," he says.
