November is here, which means the holiday season is almost upon us. One of my favorite things to do this time of the year is to start looking for places to go view lots of Christmas lights. Over the next few weeks I will share with you some of my favorite places to go to enjoy the spirit of the holidays. So, let's start with "The 19th Annual Enchanted Land of Lights & Legends," named Arkansas' Festival of the Year in 2000 in Pine Bluff, Ark. In 2006, this festival won the prestigious "Classic Award" which is given to festivals that have reached their 10-year anniversary and are still growing and maintain appeal. More than 100,000 people attend annually making it one of the biggest festivals in Arkansas. The festival is brought to you by the Pine Bluff Association, a non-profit organization.

Last year, 115,000 people attended with more expected this year. And what sets this light display apart from the rest of the drive-thru displays, is it's absolutely free to the public," Gustek said. "We want to keep it it that way so that everyone will be able to come and enjoy this family event for generations to come.

"The 19th Annual Enchanted Land of Lights & Legends boast Arkansas' largest drive-thru of holiday lights with 1.3 miles of more than 270 displays, many which are animated,
said Greg Gustek, Executive Director.

Gustek said they continue to add more displays and lights each year and that the "Enchanted Land of Lights & Legends" is now getting national recognition. In addition, a picture station has been added near the end of the display where photo hounds can take a selfie or family picture of their time spent there. And for a $10 donation you will receive a 2015 collector's edition ornament while supplies last.

The grand opening is November 17 at 6PM and the Pine Bluff High School Marching Band  will perform and lots of activities will also take place that evening.

"The 19th Annual Enchanted Land of Lights" will be open from 6-9PM, seven days a week through Dec. 31. 2015. It's located at 1400 Black Dog Road. For more information please call 870-536-7600 or visit their Facebook page.
