Texas High Beats Pleasant Grove 12-0 In Softball

Texas High topped Pleasant Grove 12-0 in a non-district softball game Tuesday at Lady Tiger Field. The game was called after five due to the run rule.

The Lady Tigers jumped out to an 8-0 lead in the first inning and added four runs in the bottom of the second. Kallie Phillips led the Lady Tigers with three hits. Jalissa Trotter added two hits and two walks. Texas High also had hits from Megan Hillis, Braley Turner, Mikaeyla Blase and Marrisa Johnston. Hillis, the starting pitcher, had six strikeouts.

Pleasant Grove had hits from Kimmy Atienza, Khadijah Oritola, and Kaylee Jones.

Texas High will be back in action this weekend in the North Desoto Tournament in Stonewall, Louisiana.  Pleasant Grove will play in the Spring Hill Tournament this weekend in Longview.
