I always enjoy looking up Texarkana history. Does anyone remember the Armistice Day parade?

I love it when we get the chance to share some videos with folks here at home that may include their loved ones who might be serving around the country or somewhere around the world. Keep them all in your prayers that they may return safely home and soon.

Apparently, the Army is having trouble meeting its enlistment numbers so, signing up just got easier.

Veterans Day is always observed on Nov. 11 with speeches and parades across the U.S. The holiday began as Armistice Day on Nov. 11, 1919, the first anniversary of the end of World War I. There are several events planned for the Texarkana area on Wednesday Nov. 11, to honor our local veterans.

My favorite war plane is the A-10 Warthog. It is still in service and saving the lives of our fighting men and women... for terrorists, not so much.

What has to be one of the biggest, and by far best airshows in the south is scheduled for this weekend with the 2012 ‘Defenders of Freedom’ airshow at Barksdale AFB. in Bossier City.

There are a few movies opening this weekend that caught my attention… One has Jennifer Anniston staying at a hippie commune “Wanderlust“, another has Amanda Seyfried hunting a serial killer in “Gone“, but the movie I am most excited about seeing stars Active-Duty NAVY Seals hunting terrorists… “Act of Valor“.
