Tucked between Black Friday and Cyber Monday is the relatively new "Small Business Saturday."This Saturday November 24th is this year's "Small Business Saturday." According to the NFIB, which is the National Federation of Independent Businesses, if your're looking for something unique and want to support your friends and neighbors who own small businesses in your community you need to support the day.

The holiday shopping season is crucial to the small business owners in the state, which are still recovering for the recession. Small business owners can visit the NFIB website to submit information about their businesses and why shopper should visit them on Saturday November 24th. NFIB will promote these submissions on their website and on Facebook and Twitter.

Small and independent business owners are among the most generous supporters of civic groups, local charities, youth sports, schools and virtually every other form of community activity. Shopping locally is a great way for people to help their friends and neighbors create jobs and opportunities in the places where they live.
