See the Lead Foot Mud Drag Trucks at Sparks in the Park 2015
Townsquare Media, the City of Texarkana, Ark., Southwest Arkansas REA and Bowie Cass Electric is proud to present "Sparks in The Park 2015" on Saturday, July 4, at the Four States Fairgrounds. One of the attractions will be the Lead Foot Mud Drag Trucks on display.Be sure and see Junk Yard Dog one, of the fastest trucks in the country, driven by Robert Whitehead, which can go through the mud in 2.6 seconds flat. And don't miss the Junk Yard Diva truck featuring one of the fastest female drivers in the country, Tiffani Whitehead, her truck is known best for bogging down in 200 feet of mud!
Affiliated with the Ark-La-Tex Pro Mud Racing circuit, Junk Yard Dog is an Outlaw and Outlaw Pro Stock mud truck and.Junk Yard Diva is an OPS and Limited Renegade truck.
This husband and wife mud racing team has been slinging mud and flying across 200 feet of mud for two years now. Junk Yard Dog is one of the fastest Outlaw and Outlaw Pro Stock mud trucks in the country. Junk Yard Diva has already hurt feelings in the Outlaw Pro Stock class and is a top truck in the Limited Renegade class. Alongside, The Dog and The Diva is Son of a Dog, a junior sand dragster driven by 10-year-old Preston.
Their mission is simple, go as fast as possible in 200 feet in front of fans, friends and family.
Make sure you check out their trucks on display at Sparks in the Park and bring a camera because the kids will want to get a photo in front of Junk Yard Dog and Junk Yard Diva.
Sparks in the Park fun begins at 4 p.m. on July 4 with plenty of activities for the entire family including Astro Jump Inflatables, McDonalds Giant Sand Box, and lots of games for the kids. Experience the rock climbing wall courtesy of Texas A&M-Texarkana and show your patriotism by entering several contests for some great prizes like the Star Spangled Banner contest for the most patriotic costumes, best decorated strollers and wagons, even an ice cream eating contest.
While you're at the Fairgrounds, visit the AG Learning Center, ride the kiddie train and visit some furry friends at Findley's Barnyard. Entry forms for contests and more information may be found here.
And see the Red River Army Depot Tank and Truck display. There will also be live music beginning at 5 p.m. and Texarkana's premier cover band, One Hot Blonde, headlines Sparks in The Park this year on the Stateline Fireworks stage. One Hot Blonde is well-known for playing a variety of all genres of music.
All this fun will lead up to the biggest fireworks show in Texarkana at 9:30 p.m. brought to you by Windstream, Big Jakes BBQ, and White Sign Company.
