If you grew up in the '60s like me, then you probably grew up watching the Munsters on television. Believe it or not, have you heard of the Munsters replica mansion in Waxahachie, Texas near Dallas?

Owner Sandra McKee and her husband who live in Waxahachie, Texas have been working several years to turn their modern gothic-style mansion into a replica of the '60s Munsters mansion and they are giving tours year-round. That's right you don't have to wait until Halloween to see this gothic mansion.

For example, the ever-so-large oak staircase where their fire-breathing pet dwelled with a special surprise, grandpa's dungeon.

See Eddie's room, replica organ, even the coffin-shaped phone booth. McKee had to watch every episode in order to transform their home into the Munsters mansion. She even bought a ton of movie props to help recreate the feel of the show.

Their home is now open for private tours and the best time to tour is during their annual Halloween fundraising event. Now is the time to start getting some family or friends together for a creepy good time in Waxahachie, Texas approximately 3 hours and 10 minutes south of Dallas from Texarkana.

It's even said that from time to time during their fundraiser some of the original living cast members show up. Sandra is still working on making their home look like an old mansion by using aged and distressed darker paint to give it that more realistic look like the TV show.
