Police Release Name of Man Found Dead in Camper

Many questions remain, but authorities have identified a man found dead last week inside a camper in Texarkana.

Texarkana, Texas Police say the body discovered was 47 year-old William Griffin. Authorities say Griffin was apparently homeless.

Officers were dispatched on Sunday, September 20, to the 1200 block of Cedar Street. The call was made after a passerby reported a foul odor coming from the camper trailer. Officers located the badly decomposed body of a male inside the camper.

The cause of death has not yet been determined. Authorities have not indicated that any foul play was involved, but the investigation into this death is continuing. Detectives also have not yet been able to locate any family members of Griffin.
