Remember the NASCAR fan that climbed the catch fence at the Richmond Race because he wanted to be on TV for his birthday? He has been sentenced to serve some jail time.

James Dennis was found guilty of public intoxication and disorderly conduct by a judge on Thursday and sentenced to one year in jail, with all but one month suspended, and a $100 fine for each charge.

When it happened Dennis told police it was his birthday and he wanted to be on TV. He also said he was trying to get a photo of Kevin Harvick, who is his favorite driver. (Maybe it had something to do with Harvick eventually winning the Championship.)
