Junior Achievement's annual Bowl-a-Thon will be held March 18 and 20 at College Bowl in Texarkana.

Junior Achievement of Texarkana hopes to raise money in support of its financial literacy programs for children. This year’s goal of $10,000 will enable the organization teach 33 classes, reaching more than 600 area students.

“Our goal is to reach as many students as possible and give them the means to own their economic success” says Kaitlyn Flanagan, Executive Director of Junior Achievement.

“This fundraiser will allow us to help reach that goal, while simultaneously allowing our community to learn more about the programs we offer and how they can become involved in helping these valuable life skills reach our students. Sound financial literacy and entrepreneurship skills -- two key topics addressed in each class -- will help open doors for these students, paving the way for new career options, smart money management and increased self-esteem. These skills are vital. These classes are important. This fundraiser makes these and so much more possible.”

This year’s Bowl-a-thon is made possible by grand sponsor Texana Bank but lane sponsors are still available.
