There is a law in effect in the State of Arkansas against driving and talking on your cellphone without a hands free device. It has not been widely enforced in Texarkana but that could be changing quickly.

Now National Transportation Safety Board Chairman Deborah Hersman is calling on a ban on all phone use while driving, including the use of hands-free devices.

Is the Government going too far to prevent any cellphone use while driving?

Hersman said, “We have got to dispel the myth of multitasking. We are still learning what the human brain can handle. What is the price of our desire to be mobile and connected at the same time?”

They are trying to take everything away from drivers, from us. What do you think? Are they going too far to stop us from talking while driving? Have you been pulled over in Texarkana for talking on your cellphone?
