Green Texarkana Will Happen Saturday
Green Texarkana, the recycling program, will take place on Saturday.
It will be held Saturday from 8AM to 1PM at East. 3rd and Hazel streets.
The Four States Fair Parade will also be downtown that morning, beginning at 10AM. Residents wishing to recycle are encouraged to come early in the morning or after 11:30AM to avoid parade traffic.
Green Texarkana is a single-stream recycling drive collecting paper, cardboard and plastics, as well as electronics.
This program cannot accept glass, Styrofoam, tires, furniture or hazardous materials including CFLs (fluorescent light bulbs or tubes).
Green Texarkana has helped local residents recycle ton and tons of unwanted items since its inception several years ago.
