Former Arkansas Governor and New York Times best-selling author Mike Huckabee will be at Books-A-Million at 1 p.m. Saturday for a book signing for God, Guns, Grits and Gravy.

In the book, Huckabee asks, "Have I been taken to a different planet than the one on which I grew up?" The book explores today’s American culture, drawing from his travels as a presidential candidate to small-town people and families. Huckabee says the book "will inspire readers to think about their own values and rediscover what makes America great."

To get tickets to the book signing, customers must first contact the bookstore prior to the event. Huckabee’s book also must be purchased from the store in which the event is being held, as proof of receipt is required to receive a ticket. Books-A-Million is located at 3501 Mall Drive in Texarkana, Texas and its phone number is (903) 838-3848.

Gov. Huckabee is the current host of the #1 rated weekend show "Huckabee" on the Fox News Channel, and the voice of the "Huckabee Report," heard on nearly 600 radio stations each day. He finished second to John McCain in his campaign for the Republican nomination for President in 2008.

Huckabee also is the New York Times bestselling author of nine books. After an early career in broadcasting and advertising, Huckabee spent 12 years as a Baptist preacher, experiences that he says gave him a deep sense of the problems faced by individuals and families.

The former governor and his wife, Janet, now live in Florida and still spend part of their time in Arkansas. They have three grown children and four grandchildren.

“Gov. Huckabee is excited to meet everyone,” said a spokesperson from Books-A-Million. “However, much needs to be done in a limited amount of time, so we have established several simple and easy guidelines so that everything flows quickly and efficiently."
