A suspect believed to be involved in the shooting death of a Texarkana man on Mamie Street has been extradited to Texarkana from Tennessee, according to local authorities.

Anthony Wilson, Jr, 19, of Texarkana, Ark., was booked into the B-State Jail late Monday.  He was wanted on a Capital Murder warrant related to the March 29, 2016 homicide of Casey Smith.  His bond has been set at $1 million.

U.S. Marshals arrested Wilson in Jackson, Tenn. on April 18, 2016. He was held in the Madison County Jail until being returned to Texarkana on Monday.

Detectives believe that Wilson was one of four men who attempted to rob Smith in front of a Texarkana residence in the 2400 block of Mamie Street last month.  When officers responded to 9-1-1 calls from people who reported hearing shots fired, they discovered Smith lying beside a vehicle in front of a residence. Smith, who had been shot several times, was deceased.

Marshall Vallejos, Jaquelle Rogers and Jailon Gamble were arrested within days of the homicide and charged with Capital Murder.  All are currently being held on $1 million bonds at the Bi-State Jail.

No additional arrests are expected in this case.

Police originally released this information on Wilson's arrest.
