Arkansas Tax Free Weekend Aug. 5-6

There's one good thing about living in Texarkana you get to take advantage of two sales tax holidays. Texarkana, Ark. residents can cash in on Arkansas Sales Tax Holiday on August 5-6, 2017.

That means throughout the state of Arkansas you will be allowed to buy certain School Supplies, School Art Supplies, or anything school related or clothing free of state and local sales or use tax for back to school shoppers.

However there are a few restrictions. Here's a list of what you can buy tax free.

• School Supplies
• School art supplies
• School Instructional materials
• Clothing and footwear less than $100 per item
• Clothing accessories and equipment less than $50 per item
