Arkansas Side Police Plan Several Christmas Activities

Texarkana, Arkansas Police are getting into the Christmas spirit in a big way!Officers will be involved in two events coming up in December. Thursday December 6th will be the annual Cops and Kids meal at Pizza Inn on North State Line Avenue. Officers will meet at the police station and form two convoys, one to the Texarkana Baptist Orphanage and other to The Watersprings Ranch. Children will ride with officers in the patrol cars, with lights and sirens to the restaurant.

Then on Tuesday December 11th, the annual Shop with a Cop event will take place at the Arkansas side Wal-Mart in Texarkana.  Officers from all over the Texarkana area will line up at the Bi-State Justice Building and convoy with lights and sirens to Wal-Mart.

During this event, needy children from the community will given $100 dollars a piece to shop for Christmas gifts accompanied by a police officer. Over 125

children are expected to receive something special from this event this holiday season.
