Three Orlando citizens who were only trying to do a good deed ended up behind bars on Wednesday. They were part of the international charity organization, “Food Not Bombs,” a group that provides meals to those without.

Turns out, this philanthropic act was in violation with a city ordinance that bans feeding more than 25 homeless without a permit. According to police reports, the Food Not Bombs crew had fed over 40 people.

Punishment for violating the ordinance is either 60 days in jail, a $500 fine or both.
