Kathy Williams is the new Vice President for Student Enrollment, Engagement, and Success.

Williams was appointed by Dr. Emily Cutrer, president of Texas A&M University-Texarkana. She has served as associate vice president for Enrollment Management at A&M-Texarkana since August 2014.

During the past two years, Williams worked with colleagues in Enrollment Services to reorganize the department resulting in improved efficiency in enrollment processes and better service to students. She also led an effort to implement a customized online undergraduate application process, implemented a new automated admission decision process and communication plan for applicants, initiated daily audit reports to ensure integrity of data in the student information system, and developed processes to streamline records processing.

In her new role, Williams will provide administrative leadership for the Enrollment Services, Student Success and Student Life departments and promote collaboration by encouraging and coordinating efforts that affect the entire division.

“Since arriving at A&M-Texarkana, Ms. Williams has played a tremendous role in advancing the university by evaluating, updating and enhancing Enrollment Services processes,” said Dr. Cutrer. “As a result of her team’s efforts, enrollment at the university has increased steadily and services to students have improved significantly. Her new role will provide opportunities for increased collaboration between all of the areas that provide support for students and faculty at the university.”

Prior to joining the A&M-Texarkana team, Williams served in various positions, including registrar and executive director of Enrollment Management, associate director of Enrollment Processing and Admissions Office manager, at Montana Tech in Butte, Montana.

She has an Associate of Science and a Bachelor of Science in Business and Information Technology from Montana Tech, a Master of Business Administration from Regis University in Denver, Colorado, and is pursuing a Doctor of Education in Leadership in Higher Education from North Central University in Prescott, Arizona.
