Big Brother CJ

Big Brother CJ

Big Brother CJ, driven for purpose and living life full throttle,  brings over 30+ years of experience in radio, television, stage, film and music. He has been described as Radical, Revolutionary, Innovative and cutting edge.

CJ started his career as a musician and as one of the Founding Fathers of the Go Go movement. He was a columnist for a popular newspaper Straight From The Streets with his column “CJ’s Confidential Scoop”,  and he’s a three-time “Wammie” (Washington Area Music Association Award) winner.

CJ’s talents as well as his popularity led him to become the host of several of his own TV shows. His fans couldn’t get enough of that king-sized voice and no one was surprised that his journey led him into the field of broadcast radio. His radio career began in Washington D. C. at WPGC, where he hosted his own “CJ’s Wake Up Show”.  Because of his knowledge of various music genres,  CJ was blessed to stay there through 3 format changes, Hip Hop/Go-Go,  R&B and Gospel.  During this time he was able to kick off the first Gospel format ever to be played on Sunday mornings on WPGC FM.   He then relocated to Knoxville, Tennessee.  In Knoxville his dream of syndication was born. While overseeing station WAHI, he was allowed to grow as a programmer and was able to establish a Christian station that mixed both genres of Gospel and Christian music together, successfully building a model station in the city. He was also able to introduce, teach and mentor area locals to the big city radio sound, with his unique ministry breaking new ground by introducing people to a New style of  Praise.

Since leaving the Tri-Cities, The King of The Airwaves has kicked off syndication of a variety of his signature Big Brother CJ shows across the country and is working with a Christian station in the Mobile, Pensacola, Pascagoula area, that was hard hit by hurricane Katrina.  His mission is to help usher in a sense of renewal.

Big Brother CJ is working on a DVD/book of his life story to chronicle his journey thus far and is currently gearing up for his highly anticipated return to the recording industry with a Life changing CD/DVD that will surely revolutionize the way Soul music is perceived.  In keeping with his syndicated radio theme, CJ will feature songs that touch and change lives by using his unique, original blends and fusing music from different genres.  He plans to take God’s music out of an ethnic box, bridging songs of unity together with songs of purpose. It’s his recipe for empowering all of God’s people to keep pressing towards the mark.

Weekend Box Office: ‘X-Men: First Class’ Underwhelms

As many predicted, 'X-Men: First Class' easily took the top spot at the box office this weekend.

Still, the Marvel reboot, which traced the beginnings of the 'X-Men' characters, managed to fall well below expectations, taking in just $56.0 million. To put things in perspective: That's the lowest debut by an 'X-Men' movie since the franchise launched in 2000, with $54.5 million.
