High school baseball season may be over, but the coaches at Pleasant Grove continue to stay busy as they prepare to host a camp later this month.

There will be a pitchers and catchers camp on Monday, June 27 and Tuesday, June 28. This camp will be for area young players who will be entering 3rd through 9th grades this coming school year.

Players will have the option of choosing either pitching or catching or both. The pitching portion of the camp will be from 1 to 2PM each day with the catchers working from 2-3PM.

Cost of the two camp is just $50 for pitchers or catchers or a total of $75 if you wish to take both pitching and catching.

This is a chance for the young players in the area to receive expert instruction from the Pleasant Grove coaching staff. Head Coach Riley Fincher and Assistant Coach and Pitching Coach Paul Phillips will be conducting the camp.

As we have mentioned in previous posts on Pleasant Grove, Coach Phillips is among the best pitching coaches in the state of Texas and throughout the Four States area. The Pleasant Grove varsity team has been hugely successful under Fincher in his first two years as head coach, having reached the regional finals last year and all the way to the state semi-final down in Austin this year

No need to worry about the weather, the camps will be held inside the Pleasant Grove High School Multipurpose Facility.

Campers can register in advance or the day of the camp. For more information check out the school website.

So if you are going to improve your pitching or catching skills, you might as well do it with the best in the area.
