I-30 Eastbound in Texarkana Texas Shut Down This Morning After Accident (Update)

Eastbound Interstate 30  in Texarkana, Texas is shut down this morning after a single vehicle crash involving a UPS 18-wheeler.

Texas side police say the accident occurred around 2:15 early this morning. All traffic is being diverted to Mall Drive around the accident, and the flyover to eastbound I-30 at the Loop (Jarvis Parkway/369) is also closed.

The driver apparently fell asleep and ran off the road near Cowhorn Creek. Luckily, no one was injured.

Both sides of I-30 were initially closed, and all traffic was diverted to Mall Drive and St. Michael Drive. Westbound was opened within an hour, but the eastbound lanes are still closed.
