Texas High School in Texarkana Texas is in a contest sponsored by State Farm that could mean huge grant money and... a private concert with multi-award winning group "The Band Perry".

Texas High School is registered in the "Celebrate My Drive" contest, and the winning school will win a concert performance from multi-award winning group "The Band Perry", winners of ACM's, CMA's and nominated for Grammys, will do two concerts one for the Large School Winner and the Small School winner.

It's an online competition from State Farm called "Celebrate My Drive" promoting safe driving habits. Texas High is in the "Large School" category. (750+ students). The contest means a lot of grant money. State Farm will pay out 10 - $100,000 grants, and 90 - $25,000 grants. The goal of the whole contest is to promote safe driving habits, and it is a very clever way to do it.

The contest only runs for 10 days and is judged on daily "good driving" commitments for the 10-day period between now and October 24, 2014. Anyone can cast a vote for Texas High School at celebratemydrive.com and making a "safe driving commitment" in a the registered school's name. Quick and easy.

Participants can enter, or "make a commitment" once each day for the registered school during the 10 day contest period. The contest is timed to overlap with National Teen Driver Safety Week October 18 to 26. So cast a vote, and do it each day between now and the 24th.
