The National Weather Service is once again predicting huge rains across the area. Just like a couple of weeks ago the forecasters are saying Texarkana and the surrounding area could get 6 to 8 inches of rain over the next 24 to 48 hours. Once again the National Weather Service is predicting a deluge of rain to hit the area later today thru Wednesday. Forecasts call for a chance of 6 to 8 inches of rain across a large portion of the Four States Area including Texarkana. Isolated spots across portions of the area could see up to 10 inches in the next few days...

Heavy rains are expected in the Ark-La-Tex thru this weekend, with 6 to 8 inches possible in the Texarkana area. The heaviest of the rains are expected in two waves with the first dropping into the area Thursday night.
A powerful storm system that spawned several tornadoes ripped through parts of the Midwest early Wednesday morning, leaving millions of dollars of damage and at least 13 people dead in its wake. Early damage photos are showing that the devastation ranges from mild to severe.
