The University of Arkansas Community College at Hope-Texarkana and President William Jefferson Clinton Birthplace Home National Historic Site have teamed up to offer a Junior Ranger Explorer Summer Camp July 25 through July 27.

According to a press release, The Junior Ranger Explorer Camp connects participants to their national parks through many hands-on, guided activities. The camp is open for boys and girls 10 – 14 years of age and registration and participation are free.

Students will travel to Hot Springs National Park, President Clinton Birthplace Home National Historic Site, Central High School National Historic Site and the Clinton Presidential Center and Museum in Little Rock.

At each site students will experience interactive presentations and visit to Discovery Place Children’s Museum in Texarkana and the camp will conclude with a graduation ceremony on the UACCH campus.

Registration is limited to the first 35 participants to register. Registration will continue until July 18. Registration forms are available at www.uacch.edu and www.nps.gov/wicl. To register your student for this exciting camp, it is preferred that a parent or guardian of the enrolling camper bring a completed registration form to Anna Powell at Hempstead Hall on the UAHT Campus.  For more information contact Anna Powell at (870) 722-8102 or email her at Anna.Powell@uacch.com or Christian Davis at (870) 777-4455 or Christian_Davis@nps.gov.
